After recent storms the road at the mouth of Tavronitis river has washed away , widening the riverbed a great deal , maybe now about 100 metres across. After a few years of no birds things may be looking up for some spring migrants this spring !
Whooper Swan seen briefly at Kissamos harbour this morning, no further sightings.
A Great Crested Grebe at Malia harbour Lots of Gulls about along the north coast after the storms with good numbers of Black-headed around.
I think there have also been sightings of fuscus, heuglin's, cachinnans, armenicus, argentatus along with Little and Pallas's, joining the usual michahellis
